2 months old (and fighting for her life)

Noah is now 2 months old. And what a crazy 2 months it’s been. She is amazing and we love her more every day. But these last few days have been really, really tough as we’ve watched our baby girl fight for her life once again.

Yesterday, just when we thought we were done with hospitals, we ended up back in again. Noah had difficulty breathing so we rushed her back to in A&E where, once again, she stopped breathing altogether. It was truly terrifying.

Noah’s infection has been confirmed as a recurrence of Strep B and she is back on oxygen and antibiotics. She lost her colour and has stopped breathing several times since being here – it’s incredibly scary to see her stats plummet.

She has had more blood tests, another lumbar puncture, x-rays and many failed cannula attempts. But she’s been so brave through it all.

Today her infection markers continue to rise and she is still not well, but her colour is returning and she is no longer needing any breathing support. She is also back to eating well and we have been able to start breastfeeding again.

This is a tough journey with many ups and downs but we are forever grateful to the incredible NHS staff who are taking care of us all. And to every single one of you who has continued to pray for us and support us through this time.

For our praying friends, please continue to pray for this incredible and beautiful little girl. Please pray that she fights this with all the strength she has shown up until now, that God intervenes and we see miraculous healing and recovery. We place her into God’s hands as the medical teams do everything they can.
