I don’t know how many versions I’ve seen of the song “The Blessing” by Kari Jobe, Cody Carnes and Elevation worship now; The Global Choir, the UK blessing, live from home – even one by a chicken!

This passage in Numbers is a blessing that as the church we often speak over one another as a prayer of God’s favour, protection, presence and peace.
And I want to pray it over each of you today. Let the goodness of God speak directly to your heart and meditate on these words, soaking in the fullness of God and his goodness towards you.

The Lord bless you – In the middle of whatever circumstance you find yourself in today, I pray his blessing over you and your family – May his favour become evident on your life
The Lord keep you – May his shield of protection be around you, covering you and keeping you from all harm. May he strengthen you and lead you.
The Lord make his face shine upon you – May you know him more, may you seek his face and encounter him in new and fresh ways
The Lord be gracious to you – May you know his forgiveness and grace in every area of your life, experiencing the fullness of the wonder that is salvation
The Lord turn his face towards you and give you peace – as you walk out your day would you know the complete, unending, indescribable peace that surpasses all understanding.
